Zendaya switches a pink ballgown for a tennis ball dress at the 'Challengers' Los Angeles premiere.

Zendaya changed into a sleek tennis ball-themed dress at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film, "Challengers," on Tuesday, after wearing a princess-like ballgown earlier.

The 27-year-old "Dune: Part Two" heroine stepped out on the red carpet in a bespoke Vera Wang Haute gown that had a lingerie-inspired black lace bustier with garters hanging from the top and a pale pink satin skirt.

Her skirt's split design revealed a black tulle petticoat underneath, and the gown trailed off in a dramatic train.

Zendaya, who plays a tennis teacher who becomes embroiled in a love triangle with her husband and an ex-boyfriend in the film,

wore her hair in a tight updo and accessorized with large diamond studs, allowing her lacy gown to speak for itself.

The attire was a stark difference from the rest of her tennis-themed press tour outfits, and many fans rushed to social media to speculate on what was going on with her clothing.

"Where has the themed dressing gone? "Seems strange to be so invested in something and then just drop it?" one Instagram user wrote on Check the Tag's Instagram post.

However, once inside the Regency Village Theatre, the "Greatest Showman" actor returned to familiar territory, donning a plunging gown in the same vivid green shade as a tennis ball.

The handmade Celia Kritharioti look, which plunged all the way down to her navel, beyond her belly button, featured a halter neckline with ruched detail and was highlighted at the waist with a real tennis ball cut in half.
