Sha’Carri Richardson Shows Off Team USA’s New Track Uniforms for Olympic

The Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024 are just over 100 days away. While the squad USA marathoners were chosen in February, the roster for the US track and field squad will not be finalized until the U.S. Olympic Trials in late June.

Meanwhile, Nike has introduced the uniforms that the United States athletes will wear in front of what is expected to be the largest Olympic audience in history from July 26 to August 11 at the Paris Olympics.

The Team USA outfits for the Summer Games will include Nike's Dri-FIT ADV technology, which is the brand's gold standard in performance wear. It is an evolution of what athletes wore at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021,

and "a much more enhanced sport performance-engineered product that allows our athletes to feel better, perform better, last longer, and break those records that we want to see them break,"

according to Janett Nichol, Nike's vice president of apparel innovation."We're able to use advanced body scanning and combine it with motion capture to design with precision detail,"

says Jordie Katcher, Nike's global clothing vice president. "Leveraging technology in this way allows us to iterate with speed, which is important because it allows us to engage with our athletes, the federations,

and other partners on a really regular basis throughout the design and development process, reducing time in between each prototype and ensuring an overall accurate end result."

On April 11, Nike unveiled photos of many gear possibilities, some of which sparked a firestorm of angry and hilarious replies, as well as complaints about misogyny.
