Olivia Dunne Shares Harrowing Fall While Practicing on the Horizontal Bar

Every flawless and polished gymnastics routine that makes it to a meet requires numerous hours of practice behind the scenes

And sometimes things go wrong, as LSU gymnastics standout Olivia Dunne showed this week.

The 21-year-old senior published a brief film on Instagram late Wednesday night, combining a clean land from a horizontal bar routine with

practice footage in which she momentarily lost her hold and flew onto the mats, which we are reminded are there for a reason.

"There will be times in life when you crank that Soulja boy and other times when that Soulja boy cranks you," Dunne stated in a soundbite posted alongside the video

Dunne's Lady Tigers are preparing to participate in the 2024 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships, which begin next week in Fort Worth

Texas. LSU is presently ranked second behind Oklahoma, having won its fifth conference title at the

SEC Championship in New Orleans last month. The Tigers finished with the program's all-time highest score of 198.075.
