Final game: Klay Thompson steals free-throw title from teammate

Stephen Curry skipped Sunday's meaningless Warriors season finale.

His colleague Splash Brother stole the free-throw percentage crown while he was out

Curry was narrowly ahead of Bogdan Bogdanovic and Damian Lillard in the league's free throw percentage for the seventh time before the final game.

Not even Klay Thompson was eligible.

Until he went 5-for-5 from the line and made his 127th foul shot of the year. Thompson won the free throw percentage crown with 92.7 percent after 125 makes.

Curry was upset."I had no clue until today," Curry said of Thompson's pass. Klay was ineligible till last game. He made all five, so congrats."

Jordan Poole exceeded Curry's free throw percentage on the season's final day two years ago.

The wounded Curry warned Poole that he "couldn't miss." Poole beat Curry 92.5 percent to 92.3 percent after making both freebies.
