Caitlin Clark's contract details with Indiana Fever don't reflect her star statu

The WNBA Draft ended curiosity about where Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Kamilla Cardoso will play after college.

Since the Indiana Fever held the first pick and Clark was expected to be chosen first, she was always going to join them.

Given Clark's success with the Iowa Hawkeyes, many expected her to have a much larger deal than the Fever's.

Spotrac's WNBA rookie pay scale says Clark will sign a four-year, $338,056 contract with the Fever.

The first four WNBA draft picks earn the same, but the following four and last four earn less.

She will have other income streams beyond her Fever pay, but it seems little when you consider that On3.

reported that she made $3.4m in name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals during her final season in Iowa.

If she starts well in the WNBA, she may want a raise to reflect her star status.
