Caitlin Clark Reveals 1st Reaction to Joining WNBA’s Fever With Challenge

Caitlin Clark has officially joined the Indiana Fever after being taken with the first choice in the WNBA draft. Clark is excited to join the Fever and guarantees that attending Indiana games will be well worth the entry price.

"I'm excited to get there," Clark remarked in an ESPN interview on April 15, 2024, shortly after being selected. "I'm excited to come to Indianapolis. I know there will be a lot of folks at Gainbridge [Fieldhouse] tonight to support us and the picks we'll make.

"So I'm confident they'll be there for me all summer. You need to buy your tickets right now. I know it will be a hot ticket,

but I believe the most important thing is to just be myself, have fun, and smile. I've loved playing basketball since I was a little girl, and that won't change."

Despite setting records at Iowa, some have questioned how Clark's game will transition to the WNBA. Clark cited her passing ability as one factor that should assist ease the adjustment.

"I think my passing, and I think that's even the biggest thing throughout my college career, is that everybody always fell in love with my shooting or scoring,"

Clark told ESPN's Holly Rowe in a feature interview on April 14. "But I've always enjoyed passing the ball.

"I believe that is something I developed at a young age. So, being able to get my teammates to open up. Be able to hit my teammates during transition. I really enjoy playing uptempo music.
